In a distressing turn of events, two children, aged approximately 11 and 6 years, were gruesomely hacked to death on Tuesday in Baba Colony, Badaun. Bareilly Inspector-General of Police, Rakesh Kumar, reported that the victims were playing on the terrace when the assailant, whose identity remains undisclosed, arrived, waited briefly, and then ruthlessly attacked them. Following the heinous act, a police pursuit ensued, resulting in an encounter where the alleged perpetrator was fatally shot.
As the news of the double murder spread, locals expressed outrage, prompting heavy police presence in Baba Colony near the Mandi Samiti outpost. District Magistrate Manoj Kumar urged for calm among the agitated residents, ensuring a thorough investigation into the incident.
